Inspired by the Spirit...Communicating Hope!

Spirit in the Morning

Spirit in the Morning with Gary Zimak is an upbeat program designed to get your day off to the right start.

Your host, Gary Zimak, was born and raised in Philadelphia; eating many soft pretzels, Tastykakes and cheesesteaks along the way. Just like many of us, he has experienced the many ups and downs with the Phillies, Eagles, Flyers and Sixers. He knows and loves the City of Brotherly Love!

Despite being ranked as the ninth largest radio market (according to the July 2016 Neilsen Audio Ratings), Philadelphia has never had a local Catholic morning radio show. That changed on October 10, 2016 when Spirit In The Morning debuted on Holy Spirit Radio in Philadelphia!

Every Monday thru Friday at 7 AM Eastern, Gary will help you to start your day with a mix of music, Scripture and inspiration. And you better believe that he will offer hope to his fellow “worriers”! If you’re outside of the Philadelphia area, the show also streams live on Holy Spirit and TuneIn Radio.

If you would like to learn more about Gary Zimak or invite him to speak at your parish, please visit or email him at

Besides the shows available below from the past week, we also put together some of our favorite episodes to share with you. Check them out by following this link.
